The Last Few Weeks

So, I have been quite the slacker about blogging for the past few weeks. It's been very busy! Let's talk about what's been going on...

Jackson had his first professional pictures made. He did so well. He was actually quite intrigued by everything around him rather than looking at the camera, but we still got some really good shots - enough that I spent too much money because I couldn't narrow it down enough!

Jackson also got his first ride courtesy of Meme and Papa! Thanks Meme & Papa!! I can't wait to see how he plays with it when he gets just a little bit older.

In addition to Dadadada, he now says Babababa and Mamamama.... Thank goodness he finally added this last one (as of yesterday). I was beginning to get a complex! He had said it a couple of times here and there before that but it was more of an accident. I haven't caught that one on camera, but be sure I will one of these days.

We introduced the sippy cup - not too seriously yet. I just give it to him after he eats to see if he will try and drink it. At first, all he did was chew it. But, he has figured out how to do it, although not consistently yet. It's still mainly something to chew on for him. I have video to prove that - this was the first day I gave it to him.

Although he desperately wants to crawl, he has managed to learn that he can roll everywhere. I wonder if that will delay the crawling since it seems to be working for him. He's getting so close. We will see!

Jackson also turned 7 months old.... I can hardly believe it. We are on the other side of 6 months. How has the time flown by so quickly!? He is so much fun and melts my heart on a daily basis. I am sad and happy to see him grow up. It's just crazy how quickly our lives can change.

Our Weekend Fun

Yesterday, our goal was to make it to the Clemson Spring Game. But, due to poor planning, it didn't work out. We took Jackson to a park so that we could see what the people at daycare have been telling us that he likes - swinging!

His latest indoor love is his jumper doorway swing (I guess that's what we will call it). This morning he was having the best time playing in it. I captured some cute pictures and a sweet video.

More Easter Goodies...

To be fair, I must share the Easter goodies that Meme provided for Jackson. The picture below is one thing that she made for Jackson - a pillow that says "Some bunny loves me". Of course, the "bunny" is a picture. So sweet! Thank you Meme!!

We also enjoyed a visit from Aunt Leslie and the best cousins in the world - Andrew, Wyatt, and Grace. Here is a sweet picture of Jackson greeting Aunt Leslie and Grace. In another year, I can already picture Jackson and Grace running around together. They are just so cute together. Grace seems to be getting used to the idea of having a cousin - seems like less competition than previous visits. She kisses him and is so good with him!

The last picture is a stylish picture of my beautiful niece, Grace. Isn't she something?! I am telling you, my sister and I produced some cute kids!!

Jackson's Easter Bunnies

Jackson scored three Easter bunnies today (and yesterday) -- one from Grandma, one from our neighbors, Tim & Sue, and one from Mommy and Daddy. Here are a few sweet pictures of Jackson and his bunnies...

A Visit from Grandma

Grandma came for a visit today bearing gifts - Jackson's first Easter basket filled with goodies. Our neighbors even came over to bring Jackson a bunny... so sweet! Jackson had so much fun visiting Grandma. Justin and I were able to get some things done with the help of her babysitting. We planted some vegetables (although I am still not sure if this was the best time - let's hope for no more freezing temps!). We ran some errands and we picked up some dinner for all of us. I was even able to get a little cleaning done. More importantly, Justin and I actually got to hang out alone - even if it was running some errands and digging in the dirt. It was nice to hang out with him. Thanks Grandma! Here is picture from her visit.

Today also marked Jackson's first day in shorts - overall shorts. This outfit was actually the first outfit Justin and I bought for him when we found out he was a boy. Here is a picture of my little man in his overalls.

Some Videos...

Give Me That Camera!! from Heather Gray on Vimeo.

Jackson has become very fascinated by electronics - such a man already. He wants the remote, any phone, and ... the camera as evidenced by this cute video.

Dadadadadada.... from Heather Gray on Vimeo.

Jackson began saying Dadada a few days ago all of a sudden. Of course, he doesn't realize what he is saying yet, but it is still adoreable. I have been trying desperately to get it on camera. This is the best I have gotten so far. He seems to be camera shy... or just fascinated by the camera itself.

Stay tuned for more later... Jackson has popped some teeth on the bottom. I can see them just barely. Hopefully, they will pop up so that I can get a good picture of them. I can't believe how fast he is growing!!
